BROOKS HELPS ASU BLOCK THEIR WAY TO VICTORY

Arizona State’s James Brooks was the hero in Last night’s territorial battle against the Wild Cats with his two dramatic blocks.

His first block helped the Sun Devils reach overtime, as in late regulation Brooks leaped to block Alex Zendejas’ extra point attempt. The encore occurred in double overtime where Brooks came through when his team needed him the most – by blocking Zendejas’ second attempt  leading his team to a 30-29 win over the Wild Cats.

Last night’s win was the Sun Devils first victory over a ranked team since 2007.
